Dear friends,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Pete Morris – husband, father, friend, and the inspiration behind the Morizzo Foundation. Pete passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved more than anything. He was 59.

When Pete was diagnosed with glioblastoma in 2023, he met it the way he met everything in life: with courage, determination, faith, and grace. He never asked “Why me?” Instead, he looked for ways to help others facing the same diagnosis, and that instinct is the reason this foundation exists.

Many of you knew Pete long before the foundation, as a fraternity brother, colleague, neighbor, mentor, or the friend who always knew exactly who you should meet. He liked to say there are two kinds of people: those who bring energy into a room and those who drain it. Pete was always the first kind, and so many of you felt that firsthand.

We know that many receiving this message knew and loved Pete personally. Our hearts are with Carolynn, Caroline, Kenny, and the entire Morris family, as well as the extraordinary community of friends whose lives were made better simply because Pete was part of them.

We encourage you to read his full obituary and service information through the link in our bio. You can also leave a memory for the family on his obituary page.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made in Pete’s honor to the Morizzo Foundation.

We will miss Pete beyond measure and are deeply grateful for the life he lived, the friendships he built, and the purpose he gave to this foundation. Pete’s courage shaped everything we do. We will carry his mission forward for every patient and family facing this disease, and we are grateful to do it alongside all of you.

With love and gratitude,
The Morizzo Foundation

He was an amazing man that showed such love and grace to everyone. He will always be remembered for his love for all and his strength and determination in fighting this battle with glioblastoma and his biggest wish would be for the Foundation to continue its good work and find that eventual cure to this horrible cancer.
