Isolated Chrome Tutorial ✨Step by Step below✨
Step 1: Apply your base color
Apply your preferred base color and cure fully according to the product’s instructions.
Step 2: Apply a matte top coat
- Apply a non-wipe matte top coat. For best results, use one labeled chrome-resistant or one known to work well with chrome.
- Cure for 60 seconds.
Step 3: Wipe with alcohol
- Wipe the surface with alcohol to ensure it’s clean before moving on.
Step 4: Apply black gel
- Apply a layer of black gel polish. I prefer using a non-wipe black gel, but you can use a regular black gel polish as well.
- Cure for 60 seconds.
- If you use a regular gel polish that leaves a tacky layer, wipe it with alcohol after curing.
Step 5: Add the 3D design
- Use a 3D black non-wipe gel to create your raised design.
- Cure for 60 seconds.
Step 6: Apply the chrome
- Using a small sponge applicator, rub the chrome powder onto the design.
- Once you’re happy with the coverage, use a thicker sponge to wipe away the excess powder more firmly.
Step 7: Seal the design
(Choose either option)
- Option A: Apply a thin layer of base coat, followed by a top coat.
- Option B: Apply a full layer of top coat directly.
Cure the final top coat for 120 seconds, following the product manufacturer’s instructions.
