Getting ready for the El Gouna Film Festival with director Zena Abdel Baky.
Hia joins Zena behind the scenes as she prepares for the opening ceremony of the 2026 festival, which she attends alongside her father, actor Ashraf Abdel Baky.
Her choice for the evening? A Georges Hobeika creation filled with details that reflect her personality. She tells Hia what made her fall in love with the design long before the event.
This year, Zena is also taking part in a panel discussion and serving on the jury of the festival’s Short Film Competition.
