What a humbling honor it was to be asked to read the first draft of this life changing book. And an even greater honor to be asked to write the foreword! Elizabeth Hogue, LPC is the author. At its core are the Prithvi Air Defence (PAD) and Advanced Air Defence (AAD) interceptor systems, designed to engage threats at different altitudes. PAD is designed for high-altitude interception, while AAD is intended to engage incoming ballistic missiles at lower altitudes. Artist @simonorourke turned a storm-damaged tree into a giant hand reaching for the sky.⁠ ⁠ Once the tallest tree in Wales, it was due to be cut down after a storm left it damaged. ⁠ ⁠ Simon turned it into a memorial for the much-loved landmark, known as "Giant Hand of Vyrnwy."⁠ ⁠ After two days of putting up scaffolding and six days of carving with chainsaws and grinders, the Giant Hand of Vyrnwy was born. The tree wasn’t wide enough for the whole hand, so the thumb and little finger were carved separately and added on.⁠ ⁠ Simon described the project as “a humbling experience,” one that reminded him “just how small we are compared to some of the living organisms on this planet”
