WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT IRON IN PREGNANCY 🩸🤍 Comment “IRON” and I’ll send you a couple of my favourite iron-rich recipes to help you get more iron into your meals 💬 Iron supports oxygen transport, your baby’s development and the extra red blood cells your body produces during pregnancy. It’s something I’ve experienced deficiency in myself, so I wanted to share the science. Beans, lentils and fortified cereals all provide iron. Pair plant sources with vitamin C-rich foods to help absorption: lentils with peppers, chickpeas with tomatoes or fortified cereal with berries 🍓 Tea and coffee can reduce iron absorption, so try to have them between meals rather than alongside iron-rich foods. If you’ve been diagnosed with iron deficiency anaemia, dietary changes alone are usually insufficient to correct it. Iron supplements may be needed, with your maternity team guiding treatment and checking your response. 🫶 Pregnancy places significant demands on your body and getting the right support matters 🤍 remember taking your supplements every other day is more beneficial! #IronDeficiency #PregnancyNutrition #Rhitrition
Ahhh strength training… how I missed you 🙋🏼‍♀️ After 2.5wks off from training due to a sinus infection today I was well and truly back! It hurt, it was sweaty, the endorphins were boosted. Just how I like it. I even hit a new PB on my hip thrust. Sometimes a rest and reset pays off and clearly I needed one. The body is always communicating with us. Physical tension, stress, Gut health, inflammation or in my case the infection. I was doing a lot and constantly moaning about needing rest without actually taking a rest until I had no choice 🤦🏼‍♀️ Sleep and nutrition was my priority and although frustrating at the time I’ve clearly benefited from it both mentally and physically 💪🏼

A little recap of my day on the set of Gooische Vrouwen, starting with my on-screen mum, Chardonnay. 🎬🩷 Hurry up, hoomans. I have a scene to film! 🎥 A lunch break before the cameras start rolling.🍴 Lunch first, acting later. 🕶️ Okay, I think it’s almost showtime! Time to get back into character! 🥰 Work hard, get cuddles! 🤍 Some behind-the-scenes magic. 🎬 Professional actor, part-time floof! 🕶️ And just like that, another day as a TV star comes to an end. It’s a wrap! ⭐
