In 1939, someone said goodbye to the cat they called “my kitty” and made sure his face would never be forgotten.❤️‍🩹🐈 The gravestone reads Mon Minet Jaunet, French for “my little yellow kitty.” He was born in 1920 and died in 1939, the year World War Il began. Roughly 19 years is a long life for any cat, let alone one born more than a century ago. Whatever was happening in the world, someone still made sure his portrait was set into the stone, so every stranger who walked past would know exactly who he was. And notice what is missing. The person who ordered this grave left their own name off the stone. There is just one small word that says everything: mon. My. Eighty-seven years later, lichen has crept across his forehead and a piece of the portrait has chipped away, but those big dark eyes are still looking straight back at us. The love is still legible. Anyone who has ever lost a pet understands this stone completely. It is the most relatable kind of heartbreak: the collar you cannot throw away, the photos you cannot delete, the name you still say out loud sometimes. This vintage pet memorial is visual storytelling written in stone, and a must-see for cat lovers, history lovers, and anyone who has ever sent a best friend over the Rainbow Bridge. #sarcasm #rip #cat #cute #cats
Who’s heading to Cancun next?? 🌴
The Paris Motor Show stole my weekend 😊 so our weekend was Thursday and Friday in London for shopping and lunch at two of my favourite restaurants. Lebanese and Indian. A few people asked me if I bought anything. Nothing that exciting. A Christmas pudding, well they might run out 😊 a VB pencil and eyeshadow. The lady tried to get me to buy the foundation but at £103 I said to her, does it have a guarantee to make me 10 years younger? Also I bought some ridiculously expensive Wolford tights but as I don’t have my other favourite brand 😔 I have to buy them Another recent @michaelkors dress. I am really impressed with the new @hollandcooperclothing double belt. It’s the perfect size and will be worn a lot As I was on my own Sunday I decided to try and sort my clothes for the Blue Cross. Six bags later and I still have more sorting. I had to keep telling myself that I have so many clothes and other people would probably love them more. Last time I raised £200 so hopefully this time as I have included some RL shirts and a few HC I will get more for the charity. I remember I was watching a celebrity house programme and the model Caprice said oh yes I have so many clothes in her dressing room. I thought mmm not really my coats would fit in there 😊 see I have way too many On that note I still have the chickens to put to bed and the dogs to sort. Then I am going to watch the new series of Real Housewives of Beverley Hills. I only watch it for the clothes and the houses and maybe the drama. Never in a million years would I go on a programme like that 😊 Have a lovely evening x #elegance#black#mystyle#elegantstyle#outfit
