I’ve been thinking about vulnerability and what the current environment is doing to the way I relate to and engage with myself and others. The books mentioned in this video are Ori by Awo Fa’lokun Fatunmbi and Sister Outsider by Audre Lorde. I’m curious what yall think of this idea… does this resonate with you? #littlemxlibrarian #booktok #blackbooktok #booktalk #vulnerabilityisstrength

People not wanting to see us win is that lowkey individualistic mindset. Like and it’s that brainwashing that has been passed down by some elders who haven’t decided to go to therapy or start healing themselves

This is great. Vulnerability opens the door to both growth and destruction, but for me, the possibility of growth matters too much to let the fear of destruction win. Hurt is part of life, and so are joy and healing. As many have said, "Everything you want is just on the other side of fear."
