Let’s Talk Libraries: Why Appearence Matters… this is not to be confused with a respectability politics standpoint. I believe in expressing yourself in whatever mode makes you feel authentic. #littlemxlibrarian #librariansofinstagram #librarytok by @little.mx.librarian

The books mentioned in this video are Ori by Awo Fa’lokun Fatunmbi and Sister Outsider by Audre Lorde. I’m curious what yall think of this idea… does this resonate with you? #littlemxlibrarian #booktok #blackbooktok #booktalk #vulnerabilityisstrength by @little.mx.librarian

My three-year work anniversary was like two months ago but acknowledging late is better than never! I finished my MLIS in 2025 and it’s been such a ride. I have grown so much since I first started working in libraries. Insert some joke here about the library making me more edgy and bald over the years 😂 what accomplishments/milestons are y’all celebrating? by @little.mx.librarian

A failed #OOTD but here’s what l wore to the American Library Association Annual Conference a couple months ago!

I made this video because I see so much discourse online I want to share my thoughts about, but my time could be better spent. So this is my response to all of the foolishness l’ve seen on the Internet this week. I’d love to know your thoughts.

I know I often tell y’all I am a librarian, but I don’t always say what kind I am… I am an acquisitions librarian, which most simply put means I buy resources for the library, including books, journals, databases, and audiovisual material. Right now, I’m working on a project to add more relevant materials to my library leisure reading collection. This is a snippet of me arriving a new book! The book shown in the video is HBCU Made by @ayesharascoe.

Today, I am sharing my blonde routine with you all. This is not hair advice and I know some of the things I do are not best practice. As a librarian, I struggle with making content like this when I know I don’t follow the rules lol so there are several disclaimers in the video 😂😂 let me know if you have any questions and have a good day!

On @yungdeadthing, book bans, and free will. I have been seeing discourse about Emezi’s writings again and I wanted to chime in and give you my two cents. It is perfectly OK not to like a book, but when your reasons for not liking that book relate to subject matter of the story, I think it’s worth reflecting on where that stems from.
