If you haven't had the pleasure of trying a @perealconflutes headjoint yet, I cannot stress how expediently you should! In my opinion, he is one of the very best independent headjoint makers in the field today, and he also happens to be a ridiculously wonderful human ✨️ I love all of his work, but I'm particularly fond of his .950 seamed tube silver heads with a gold ring lip, which completely encircles the tube...truly a work of art!

Wow I didn’t know about that lip ring idea, very interesting. I’ve played some 19th century flutes that have a very wide radius and a lipplate that is long, in the direction past the blowing edge. I prefer this to the short and steep plates that almost everybody does today (easy to play, loud, boring). Need to check these out!
