I’m back home in LA after a quick trip to the Philippines, my first home. I don’t make this trip often because 1. it’s expensive 2. I don’t like flying 3. I reaaaally don’t like flying for a long time. But I’m grateful I got to do it.
It’s weird to call it ‘coming home.’ I haven’t really been back to the places I knew and I grew up in since our families have moved. I guess home is not the place but the people.
Corny I know. But with everything life’s been throwing my way the past few weeks, I also know that it’s the truth. I’ve never felt more at home than when I’m embracing my loved ones.
Life’s been a whirlwind of emotions. I’m just happy to be back at my desk where I can create stuff and try to make sense of it all.
