Glad to host Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister @zhaslanmadiyev at the Foreign Ministry today. He came to Israel at the head of a large economic delegation for the convening of the Joint Economic Commission between our countries.

We continue to strengthen the ties between Israel and Kazakhstan! 🇮🇱🇰🇿

DOZER NIGHT

We’ve had so many DM’s this week asking HOW Sam did this, so here’s exactly how!

(And yes, that’s real breast milk!! 🥹❤️)

When we found out I was pregnant with our twins, Sam decided she wanted to try something called induced lactation, which is basically the process of getting your body to produce breast milk without ever being pregnant!

Here’s how she did it:

▫️ She followed something called the Newman-Goldfarb protocol, which is a method used to induce lactation in non-gestational parents.

▫️ She took prescribed medications, including domperidone, to help stimulate milk production.

▫️ She pumped EVERY 2–3 hours, including overnight! She never went longer than 4 hours without pumping. The dedication was wild!! 🥹

▫️ Over time, her body started producing breast milk, starting with tiny drops and increasing!

▫️ By the time our twins were born, she was already making milk and was able to breastfeed them right away (we already had a deep freeze full too!)

And that’s how our boys ended up being breastfed by the mom who DIDN’T give birth to them! 🥹

One of the coolest parts of our two-mom journey was getting to experience motherhood in such different ways. I carried and gave birth to our twins, and Sam got to experience breastfeeding them!

Induced lactation isn’t guaranteed to work for everyone, and milk supply can vary, but it’s pretty incredible that this is even possible!

We share this because SO many people have no idea that non-birthing moms, lesbian parents and adoptive parents can sometimes breastfeed too! 🤍

I’m so proud of her for doing this!!!

NEPHEW, LET ME TELL YOU HOW I USED TO THINK IN MY HUSTLING DAYS.

I used to give my drivers permission to tell on me if they got caught.

My reasoning was simple: I figured if they got caught, they were probably going to talk anyway. So instead of pretending otherwise, I wanted them operating without that additional fear.

I even had a dummy phone number they could call. In my mind, if that phone rang, I knew everything had gone bad.

I also kept money set aside for bail and attorneys. I believed in preparing for the worst instead of hoping for the best.

I had layers upon layers of contingency plans. At the time, I thought I was being sophisticated. I thought I was managing risk.

But here’s what I want you to understand, nephew.

You can be intelligent, disciplined, organized, and still be making a fundamentally foolish decision.

All that preparation didn’t change the consequences of the life I was living.

Today, I apply that same forward thinking to legitimate business, my career, and protecting my family.

The greatest move I ever made wasn’t learning how to manage the risks of the streets. It was learning to leave those risks behind.

Learn from my experiences. You don’t have to repeat them.

It feels so good to be back!!! I’ve missed cooking for you all so much, and what better way to kick off the first EyeSwoon Unplugged in my new Tribeca kitchen than with my Whole Roasted Chicken?

I know roasting a whole chicken can feel intimidating (trust me, I’ve been there!), but this recipe is deceptively easy, incredibly delicious, and one I hope will give you the confidence to make it again and again. With minimal prep, it’s a one-pan dinner simple enough for a Wednesday night but impressive enough for Saturday.

The secret to its zippy flavor? One of my favorite spices: sumac. Its beautiful, rusty-red hue might suggest something peppery, but sumac actually has a bright, tangy, lemon-like flavor that’s incredibly versatile.

Trust me, you’re going to love this one!
