Published in the 1950s, a vintage magazine advertisement tells the story of a 21-year-old Norwegian man searching for an older male companion between the ages of 40 and 55 in the United States. Introducing himself as Mr. D from Notodden, Norway, he described his blond hair, blue eyes, and love for music, theatre, and ballet. He also openly mentioned being a member of a homosexual organisation in Norway. 🇳🇴 Written in imperfect but heartfelt English, the advertisement offers a fascinating glimpse into a time when LGBTQ+ relationships faced significant discrimination and legal restrictions. His simple wish to find companionship across the Atlantic reflected both courage and a desire for connection in a world where openly expressing his identity was far more difficult. ❤️🏳️‍🌈
Not another inflatable tank! This time, it’s a 32-meter giant dome, made in just 10 days. Big projects, tight deadlines, and a little mystery. Can you spot it in the US? #GaussInflatable #InflatableDome #EventProduction #CustomInflatables #SheenaAir
