Meet the aardvark, one of Africa’s most elusive mammals. These extraordinary, mostly nocturnal creatures use their powerful claws to dig for ants and termites, which they scoop up with their long, sticky tongues.
Spending most of their lives hidden underground or searching for food under the cover of darkness, sightings are incredibly rare.
To have one casually wandering beside me at sunset was an unforgettable wildlife encounter. ✨
