Grown from the resistance, advancement, determination, love, motivation, expertise, history, struggle, desire for better, rich beautiful cultural roots of #BlackAmerican people, Historically Black Colleges & Universities (#HBCUs) mean the world to me. I’ve been privileged, blessed, and honored to have been/be a student/leader/facilitator/athlete/marching band member/organization member/doctor/friend/sister/cousin/auntie and so much more at HBCUs.

VIRGINIA STATE UNIVERSITY will ALWAYS be my FIRST LOVE. It grew me into adulthood and defined so many concepts for me from which I’m still learning. I’m FOREVER a TROJAN.
