Learning to Weave on Peter collingwood loom. One of the rarest looms in Australia, possibly the only one.

Words, silences, and rhythms.

I understand that all arts converge at a point where technique disappears and the being emerges.

I find writing and weaving to be synonymous acts, particularly double weaving, where one thread remains hidden while another reveals itself.

You have to be curious to understand when the shaft moves and when the ink flows, when the hammer strikes and when the string is moved.

To learn an art is to learn its silences, to recognise what remains beneath the surface, what holds the visible together, and what makes the invisible speak.
