In Andy Tennant’s iconic 90s Warner Bros. family comedy classic It Takes Two, Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen star in a hilarious pre-teen mix-up alongside Kirstie Alley and Steve Guttenberg! Before heading out for a potential adoption interview, street-smart orphan Amanda Lemmon begs her social worker Diane Barrows for one last swing at bat during a high-stakes alleyway baseball game. With the neighborhood kids teasing her about being placed with the dreaded Butkis family, Amanda steps up to the plate and blasts a massive home run down the city block! The high-energy moment hits peak comedy as Diane hustles her into a yellow NYC taxi, leaving Amanda screaming out the window at her rival Frankie, “You’re a dead man, Frankie!” as they speed off toward an unforgettable summer!
Is this still the best/most iconic 90s family comedy opening scene?
