Prodigy’s music taste went far beyond the gritty Queensbridge sound that made him a hip-hop legend 🙏 Born into a musical family, the late Mobb Deep rapper grew up surrounded by everything from jazz and soul to reggae and rock. His mother was a member of The Crystals, while his grandfather was a Jazz Hall of Famer, influences that occasionally found their way into Mobb Deep’s music. In honor of what would have been his 52nd birthday, we’re revisiting Prodigy’s 2012 interview with Complex, where he broke down his 25 favorite albums of all time. From Nas’ ‘Illmatic’ and Snoop Dogg’s ‘Doggystyle’ to Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Kanye West and Rihanna, his picks reveal the wide-ranging influences behind one of rap’s most distinctive voices. Rolex or Grand Seiko? Two elegant sports watches, two very different approaches to luxury. In this week’s Sunday Morning Showdown, the Rolex Datejust 36 with its green ombré dial faces the Grand Seiko SLGB015 Lake Suwa 37. The Rolex combines its signature fluted bezel and Jubilee bracelet with a striking green lacquer dial and the reliable automatic caliber 3235. The Grand Seiko takes a more understated approach, pairing a deep blue, nature-inspired dial with the remarkable Spring Drive caliber 9RB2, accurate to just ±20 seconds per year. At €9,995 for the Rolex and €10,400 for the Grand Seiko, these two are close in price. But which one deserves your money? Would you go for the iconic Swiss classic or the Japanese master of precision? Let us know in the comments! 👇 #Rolex #SundayMorningShowdown #RolexDatejust #GrandSeiko #GrandSeikoSpringDrive

Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde alleged that actor Dia Mirza has consistently opposed Hindutva, citing her opposition to the Narmada project and the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). She also claimed that Mirza has spoken against efforts to address environmental concerns, despite the BMC itself working in that area, and has opposed statements made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Tawde further said that Mirza’s opposition appeared to be directed against Hindutva and questioned why the actor was telling Hindus how to celebrate Diwali. She made these remarks while defending the opposition to Mirza’s anti-firecracker appeal video, which was taken down from the BMC campaign following objections from Mumbai BJP chief Ameet Satam. While the BMC's campaign asking people not to burst crackers also featured other celebrities like actor Madhuri Dixit and cricketer Ajinkya Rahane, only Mirza's video was deleted.
