It’s that time of year when the plants come inside! Here are a few things to keep in mind before bringing your leafy babies indoors for winter:

🌱 Check for pests — Inspect leaves, stems, and the soil, especially underneath leaves, before bringing plants inside.

🧼 Give them a little cleanup — Wipe down leaves and remove dead or yellowing foliage.

☀️ Find the right light — Shorter days mean less sunlight, so move plants to the brightest spots available, while avoiding sudden changes that can stress them.

💧 Adjust your watering — Most houseplants grow more slowly in winter and need less water. Check the soil before watering instead of sticking to your summer schedule.

🌡️ Keep them cozy — Keep plants away from cold drafts, chilly windows, and heating vents.

🪴 Inspect and isolate — Keep newly brought-in plants separate from your other houseplants for a bit if possible, so you can catch any pests before they spread.

And just like that… the indoor jungle is back! 🌿😂

Plant people, have you started bringing yours inside yet?
