Don’t allow people to rain on your parade—especially when you’ve always allowed them to reap the benefits of it. 💯 ✨ Know your worth, keep your head high, and keep shining! 🌧️➡️ just cut the benefits and ff and allow them no access to you! If anyone tells you anything about me it’s a lie they have no access to me…

People tend to get religious about the idea of progress. It stems from a certain unthinking devotion to the idea of progress, with no thought given to the why and how of it. The fact is, a lot depends on the consequences of the things we do to achieve said progress.

Take AI for example. I've lost count of how many times people say "tech progress should never end". Really? Never? Why is that? Is it because tech progress is always a good thing? Should it not stop or even pause if millions are being hurt by it? There just isn't any thought paid to this matter. People parrot the line about "progress" without even understanding what they are supporting. Corporate propaganda helps of course.

A cousin of this progress narrative is the kind of "development" our governments foist on us in the name of progress. More buildings, more malls, more overbridges. Why? Nobody seems to know. Forests be damned, rivers be damned, landslides and climate change be damned. Progress must never stop.

Please think about this. Unthinking devotion to the idea of progress without defining the parameters of it is no different from religious devotion.

Western spies call it one of the most devious and lethal spy agencies in the world.

Behind the diplomatic handshakes and shared counter-terrorism goals, Western spies are said to operate under constant watch.

According to Intelligence Online, the agency has a playbook of its own: honeytraps, surveillance, deportations and pressure tactics, all aimed at keeping foreign intelligence services in check on Pakistani soil.
