A Florida man is accused of shooting an Uber Eats driver in the buttocks after the driver allegedly returned to an apartment complex hoping to get his girlfriend’s phone number, authorities say.

Investigators say 33-year-old Khuslen Saruultuya confronted the driver, ordered him to the ground, shot him and allegedly pistol-whipped him in the head before threatening to kill him.

The driver managed to escape and drive himself to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Saruultuya was later arrested. During a search of his apartment, deputies allegedly discovered suspected cocaine, MDMA, ketamine, marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms, hundreds of prescription pills and more than $11,000 in cash.

He faces charges including attempted felony murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and multiple drug offenses.

One thing I’ll always believe is that accountability matters just as much as growth.

I’m not perfect, and I’ve never claimed to be. I’ve made mistakes, hurt people without intending to, reacted in ways I’m not proud of, and had moments where I could’ve handled things better. I’m still learning, still growing, and still working on myself, just like everyone else.

But one thing I never want to lose is the willingness to look at myself honestly. If I’ve made a mistake, I want to be able to own it. If I’ve hurt someone, I want to take responsibility for my part. And when I’m given the opportunity to make things right, I want to have the humility to do so.

Growth isn’t just about talking about kindness, healing, or being a better person. It’s about being willing to recognize the moments when we fall short of those things, too.

I hope I never become so focused on who I’m trying to be that I stop being honest about who I am today. There will always be room for me to learn, to apologize, to do better, and to grow.

We can hold ourselves accountable without hating ourselves for being human. We can acknowledge our mistakes without letting them define us. And we can choose to do better without pretending we’ve always gotten it right.

The goal isn’t to be perfect. It’s to be honest enough to grow. 🤍

What’s one thing personal growth has taught you about yourself?
