Honestly, jus do yourself a favour and learn about what are the factors that make a garment/ piece of clothing great. YSL is a luxury brand ofc theyre gonna charge you 700 for a pair of cemented construction loafers. Brand name should not be an indicator of quality

The truth about influencers is they only influence individuals who can’t make decision on their own. The YSL loafers are nice but just like the IPhone wait a few weeks and the DUPES will always show you why you should wait. Most people’s consumers habits are FOMO and I’m not mad at influencers getting a bag off it.

As a footwear developer, I’d always avoid loafers without stitching through the sole. Goodyear construction is the best, in my opinion. I currently wear Massimo Dutti loeafers, which I buy 2 sizes smaller than my usual sneaker size. They cost around €150, feature a 100% leather upper and a mixed rubber/leather sole. I also use shoe trees regularly.
