خبر محزن للغاية... و من الضروري السؤال: هل من الآمن أن يستعمل أولادنا الذكاء الاصطناعي؟

بعد خسارة المراهق اللبناني ماتياس حبيب، الذي توفّي عن عمر 15 عامًا، بعد محادثات استمرّت ثلاثة أشهر على موقع للذكاء الاصطناعي، وسؤال مباشر عن إنهاء حياته، يجعلنا نضع علامات استفهام حول سلامة الأطفال والمراهقين عند استعمالهم الذكاء الاصطناعي.

هذا جرس إنذار مرعب لنا جميعاً، كأهل ومعلمين، لكي نبقى يقظين، وننتبه للإشارات التحذيرية الصامتة في سلوك أطفالنا الرقمي، ونكون يداً واحدة لحماية حياتهم قبل فوات الأوان.

Sad news, and a necessary question must be asked: Is it safe for our children to use artificial intelligence?
Following the tragic loss of Lebanese teenager Matias Habib, who passed away at the age of 15 after interacting for three months with an AI website, and after a direct question about ending his life, we are forced to raise question marks regarding the safety of children and teenagers when they use artificial intelligence.

This is a terrifying wake-up call for parents and educators alike to stay vigilant, spot the silent warning signs in our children's digital behavior, and unite to protect their lives before it is too late.

We extend our deepest condolences and most sincere heartfelt sympathy to the family of Matthias Habib in this painful time of loss. We wish you strength and patience to get through these difficult times, and may his good memory remain a source of comfort to you. You have all our support in this difficult ordeal.
