The maker community is at the heart of everything we do and I had a great moment this week where Alice from @woolandwhiskers/ @learntoknitonline and I met for the first time in real life!
Alice was one of the original makers involved in Super Seconds Festival back in 2020, whilst she was also running @makersmarketfromhome alongside @unruly_print (shout out to Andy who I did my first ever Instagram Live with!).
Alice lives in Amsterdam and was a Champion for Super Seconds Festival waaayy back in 2022 (alongside @printsbythebay @louisecrookendenjohnson and @or8design)! Alice and I have kept in touch since then and it was an absolute pleasure to meet up this week ❤️

I’ve made online connections with SO many lovely types through SSF though sadly not met enough IRL! I’d love a meet up 👌 Working on your own can be lonely but my SSF buddies are there all year round for general cheerleading & hive mind business consultation!! 😂

I love how many makers I’ve met and talked with online! I met @wild.fringe yesterday because Mel had a stall at a market local to me! I’ve not met many others in person but would love to one day meet @kayjay.clay @chloe_haywood_london @fancypantsrodgersillustration and many others!

Ah! The lovely Alice! I've made so many lovely friends through both @supersecondsfestival and @makersmarketfromhome back in the day. But never met any of you in person! The kettles always on if anyone finds themselves up my way in Scotland! @woolandwhiskers

Oh my gosh so so many! Yourself obviously Sophie @threebeamsthinking it was so much fun meeting you in person in London and going out. I’ve also met up with @louisecrookendenjohnson @katemaxwellstudio @deniseinceart @bird.athome probably more… 🤔 and so many I’d love to meet in person. Xx
