Mouthpiece definitely cuts and is on the brighter side! It’s pretty free blowing especially considering the tip opening is bigger than I’m used to. Playing on D’Addario Jazz Select 3 soft reeds here. What museum piece Mark VI!! Plays so well. Anyone playing on one of these vintage Brilhart mouthpieces?

I don't know how it "drives", but the tone is great for one of those conference room size gigs. Not ostentatious at all but has a character its own that is very pleasing up close. I'd put it in the drawer for those moments.
