We have been going on the ground, finding people who don't even know their vote has been deleted.
Just before the Bengal election, more than appx 90 lakh voters were deleted. Mostly Muslim voters. 'You know who' won in that election and later most of those voters appealed in court, and they were added back to the voter list.
Those who have represented India as bureaucrats or writers or journalists for years have had their voting rights deleted. They knew since they have the privilege of education and being vocal about it.
Approx 13 crore names have been deleted in the current SIR.
13 crore if formed a nation will become the 12 th populated country in the world.
For those who are arguing the ' they came from some other country' argument also, it makes no sense.
The entire population of Bangladesh, together have a population of only approx 17 crore.
That means, these people who were born and brought up in India now have to go to the court to prove they are the citizens.
And that too in a country where -
Adhar card is not a document for citizenship,
Neither is passport or PAN card or your last voter list name.
The government just made every person they decide not to be a citizen as they wish with one click in a software from Delhi by the election commissioner office.
Neither the state from where they origin nor their own documents can verify if the govt decides not.
And still, still, they have the audacity to call it a democracy.
