I moved to Barbados five years ago and now split my time between Barbados and Florida. One of my most striking observations has been an underlying resentment and hostility toward Black Americans in a country that is approximately 95% Black. This is not a conclusion drawn from isolated incidents, but an observation shaped by five years of experiences and interactions. What I find particularly disturbing is the hypocrisy of advocating racial solidarity, condemning discrimination, and demanding respect while displaying prejudice toward other Black people. Cultural pride is not a license for prejudice. You cannot demand respect while denying it to others. And discrimination does not become acceptable simply because the person practicing it shares your skin color.

It's not that hard to figure out what he was trying to convey, black Americans didn't come here, we're from here. Immigrants from all over the world dream about making it to Amerikkka, and when they get here, they have the tendency to outwork Americans period. We as Americans take things for granted and we're spoiled to a certain degree whether we're black white or native born Hispanics. Could his wording been a little better and not lumping all blacks into that category, absolutely yes.
