Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day to be in Zion to home Angels Landing. Mid 70s and cloud kept it cool enough to be comfortable for our afternoon permit time.
It’s been a few years since I’ve done this one and I could tell the difference in my physical ability. One of those non scale victories you randomly notice. And no, I’m not chasing a scale goal, this is the goal to do the things I want to do comfortably.
While irritating with the reservation system it did make for a far more enjoyable experience with fewer people tackling the actual difficult part of the hike. We had to wait many times for people that were clearly terrified for their life and moving slow. But not the huge lines of people to be waiting for.
10/10, go if you can.
