Turning unimaginable heartbreak into hope for other families.
Last night, Love Your Doorstep had the privilege of supporting the @ccfworld at their sold-out UK National Zeimbekiko Championship Charity Dinner & Dance, held at the Palace Banqueting Suite in Waltham Abbey.
Behind this incredible charity is a heartbreaking story that every parent should hear.
In March 2022, George and Areti Nicolaou lost their beloved 15-year-old son, Christoforos (Christopher), after he became a victim of online predators, coercion and dangerous online challenges.
Determined that no other family should experience the pain they have endured, George and Areti established the Christoforos Charity Foundation in their son’s memory.
Their mission is to protect children and young people from the dangers of social media, cyberbullying and online exploitation through education, awareness and opportunities for young people to connect and enjoy life away from their screens.
❤️ Last night was a beautiful reminder of the power of community.
A sold-out evening brought people together in support of this important cause, with wonderful Greek dancing, including performances by talented young people, celebrating culture, tradition and togetherness.
It was particularly moving to see so many people united behind a family who have turned their grief into a determination to protect others.
