“My earliest beauty memories are tied to my mom reaching for kajal, mascara and lipstick, then helping my sister and me with our own makeup and the routines we would grow into. One tradition that stayed with me is the tiny dot of black kajal behind the ear, believed to offer protection. For me, festive beauty is tradition kept close and worn my way.”
