Birthday weekend shenanigans! 🎉🥳

A night full of dancing, amazing friends, unforgettable memories, and pure fun!

For years, my birthday has always been a bittersweet day for me. For a lot of different reasons, it hasn’t always been something I’ve looked forward to. But this year was different.

Getting to bring together so many amazing people from all different walks of my life, from childhood friends who’ve known me for years to the chosen family I’ve been blessed to find along the way, made this birthday truly special.

I was reminded just how lucky I am to have such incredible people in my corner. For the first time in a long time, my birthday wasn’t about the things that made the day difficult in years past, but about the people who make life worth celebrating.

Thank you to everyone who came out, danced, laughed, and made my 24th birthday one I’ll never forget. Here’s to another trip around the sun and making even more memories! ❤️

The U.S. Justice Department announced Tuesday that it is deploying about 1,000 election monitors and observers nationwide, including to eight Michigan cities.

Michigan officials have raised concerns about monitors’ conduct today in Dearborn and Flint.

Detroit, Dearborn, Hamtramck, Warren, Flint, Grand Rapids, Lansing and East Lansing are included. The DOJ says the Trump administration’s deployment is its largest ever and the first to cover all 50 states.

Michigan officials contacted the DOJ after receiving reports that monitors went beyond their duties. In Dearborn, monitors reportedly asked poll workers for copies of their training materials. In Flint, they reportedly questioned workers about how they were trained. State officials said they were following up to explain what monitors are allowed to do.

DOJ monitors generally must stay at least 100 feet from a polling place’s entrance unless the local clerk allows them inside. Once inside, they can observe but cannot speak with voters, touch ballots or voting equipment, or interfere with voting.
