Neighbors, this is terrifying! An Arizona mother fought for her life and her one-year-old daughter after a stranger allegedly barged into their home, attacked them both, and demanded that she remove her clothes. Bella Torres says the horrifying encounter unfolded in less than 10 minutes when a man opened her front door and asked to use the bathroom. Before she could react, he allegedly lunged at her, grabbed her by the neck, wrestled her to the floor, and kicked her baby. “My first instinct is just to protect her,” Torres said.
_________
Torres eventually broke free and ran toward her open front door, screaming for help. Surveillance footage captured her desperate cries and a struggle that continued into the driveway. During the confrontation, the intruder allegedly claimed he was on drugs and had been sent by her boyfriend. The man fled when Torres’ husband returned home, and Buckeye police arrested 20-year-old Adrian Ayala within 24 hours.
_________
However, the story took another disturbing turn in court when Ayala’s attorney claimed the entire incident was a “giant misunderstanding,” arguing that Torres’ husband had arranged a consensual role-playing scenario. The judge wasn’t buying that explanation, stating, “I don’t care if her husband said he could go in there and do that, that’s not a defense.” Torres insists neither she nor her husband knows Ayala. Still traumatized, she says she has struggled even to shower since the attack and plans to increase security around her home. Ayala faces multiple felony charges, including aggravated assault, and was released on a $25,000 secured bond.

The honesty and relatability from @aesha_jean on chronic overthinking, and how it affected her, was really insightful.

Neighbors, if you or someone you know takes naps throughout the day, a new study suggests those daytime snoozes could be an early warning sign of dementia. Researchers at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health found that older adults who nap most days or every day face a 48% higher risk of developing dementia compared to those who rarely or never nap.
_________
The study followed 995 Americans ages 65 and older for up to 10 years. Researchers discovered that people who unintentionally dozed off had a 39% higher dementia risk, while those who took naps lasting 30 minutes or less had a 40% higher risk. These associations remained even after researchers accounted for several health conditions and nighttime sleeping habits.
_________
However, researchers emphasize that napping does not necessarily cause dementia. Instead, frequent daytime sleeping could signal early changes in the brain, particularly in areas responsible for keeping people awake. “More frequent napping could be a marker of changes in the brain, rather than a cause of brain changes that lead to dementia,” explained Dr. Adam Spira, a senior author of the study. Researchers believe monitoring changes in sleeping habits could eventually help identify people at risk years before a dementia diagnosis.

Thoughts?

I don't usually copy looks from the runway, but when Dolce & Gabbana invited me to the store presentation of their new collection, it was a blast. 🤗🖤🤍😊
Fun Fact: The skirt is sold as the local model is wearing it. If you want it to be see-through you'll have to take out the underksirt. 🖤
