Cardio isn’t going to kill your gains.

Nobody’s ever lost muscle from walking. What actually costs you muscle is not eating enough, not sleeping, and not recovering between sessions. Cardio helps all three.

Better conditioning means you’re not gassed after your first heavy set, so you get more real work done in the same hour. It means your set ends when the muscle is done, not when your lungs are. It helps you sleep, it pulls your stress down, and it keeps more of that surplus going toward recovery instead of your waistline.

And if you’re eating in a big surplus, your blood pressure and your resting heart rate don’t get a pass just because you’re trying to get bigger.

The interference thing is real, but it shows up with high volume running, not twenty or thirty minutes on a bike a few times a week. Keep hard cardio away from heavy leg days, pick something that doesn’t beat up your legs, and eat for the work you’re doing.

If you add cardio and don’t add food, that isn’t cardio killing your gains. That’s you eating at maintenance.

Love y’all
