While student movements globally deserve attention, let’s not forget where one of the most remarkable movements started. In Serbia, students have been protesting since November 2024, after corruption caused a railway canopy collapse in Novi Sad that killed 16 people. They blocked universities, walked across the entire country, cycled to Strasbourg, and ran to Brussels seeking justice. Their protests have been 100% peaceful — they even clean up the streets after every rally. Now, ahead of the October 25th elections, they’ve formed an independent political list featuring doctors of science and experts to fight for a better future — and they are going to win on October 25th!
