It is with utmost sadness and shock that I have to inform all those who love/adore our DV, @divyavinekar left for heavenly abode today. It was sudden and unexpected. The family and the ones whose lives she touched daily with her grace and love are dealing. Enquiries at this moment could be avoided.

However, this is to inform those who wish to bid adieu to her, 10am tomorrow, 20th of October at Shivaji Park Hindu Crematorium.

DV, as we know her fondly, was a pillar to me personally and professionally for all of us at Fever FM. Her work ethic, her kindness and her knowledge made her one of her kind.

You'll be missed baby, go well. Thank you for being a part of us. We were blessed to have her.

King Charles III, Queen Camilla and The Prince of Wales attend a commemoration event to mark the 60th anniversary of the Aberfan disaster, at Aberfan Memorial Garden and the Aberfan Community Centre in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 -October 21st 2026.
.
The Aberfan disaster was the tragic collapse of a colliery spoil tip that occurred on October 21th 1966, in the village of Aberfan, South Wales. 144 people, including 116 children and 28 adults lost their lives following the disaster ⛰️🛘🕊️.
.
The Prince of Wales laid a wreath signed by him and his wife, The Princess of Wales 🌹.
.
Then, The Prince visited Ynysowen Community Primary School to unveil the Aberfan Memorial Tree 🌳.
.
During his visit, The Prince of Wales met Diane Thomas, 78, a rescuer from the Red Cross who was only 18 at the time of the disaster, and said: "The chapel had been converted into a mortuary so I spent three nights in the mortuary, bathing the children, to try and get slurry off their little faces so their parents could recognise them. I took the anorak off one little boy, put my hand in his pocket and came out [with a note that] he’d had eight out of 10 for spelling. I've been trying all these years to think about how I can trace his mum. I can’t but I want to tell her because I was the last person to hold him and bathe him." 🥹💔.
.
What happened sixty years ago in Aberfan was a tragedy and I think everyone here often has a thought for all those children's parents and families who lost a child 🙏. This is so sad when you learn what happened and may all the victims of this disaster rest in peace 🕊️🥀❤️‍🩹.
