Just got back from one of the most difficult weeks of fishing in a while for me. I was hoping for a good fall bite but we got an extension of summer instead.☀️
Last time I fished on this island, my first real fishing trip, 14 years ago we came a week too late and it was freezin with fish very deep already (from what we figuered out back then).
This time the timing was off again, just in the other direction with water temperatures still too high for this time of the year imo.
Well, you might win some and the rest counts as experience or so...😅
Still, interesting 8 days on the water. Exploring different lakes, watching nice scenery and catching at least a couple of healthy looking fish. No giants for me this time but I'm convinced, that with the right conditions and at the right time the potential is definitely there!
Also the coastline there is stunning and I really hope the locals there won't let some greedy investor a-holes and dumb tourists ruin that. With that being said, pick-up and dispose of your trash properly, no matter if you're staying on a yacht or in your camper van!

It sounds kinda stupid but now I'm so looking forward to jump in my bibs and put on a jacket to go fishing in colder weather with less people around. Just already uneasy about having cold, numb fingers😰
