Never Give Up!
This fish right here represents this phrase, well known in the fishing scene thanks to @mikeiaconelli , perfectly in my opinion.
The day started slow, like no bite slow and didn't get much better the longer we fished. By late afternoon we still hadn't met one decent fish when a storm rolled in. I didn't expect that kinda of weather that day so I left my rainsuit in the car. When thunder sounded to be really close and the lightnings hit closer we decided that it was time to get off the water for safety reasons. As we made it to the ramp it started pouring like I known it from the jungle so we left the boat at shore and sprinted into the car parked nearby. When the rain calmed down I thought it was time to head back since there wasn't much daylight left anyway but my friend insisted on making a couple of casts. Well we did that and soon I landed the first decent fish of the day and it felt like something changed, like the fish becoming active. So I kept casting and a few minutes later I get another bite which results in this beast - on topwater, in the drizzling rain and me still soaked from before.🔥
My biggest Bass of the trip and also my new lake PB - 2.5kg🔥
Never give up!❤️‍🔥

Btw. one of the most epic pics I've got of myself with a fish so far and a beautiful evening to remember!

Back again and we survived!😁🌴
That was definitely one of my most intense adventures so far!
We went deep, deep into the jungle, 17 hours deep which includes dragging the boat over land 6 times to get around rapids. Where we went, only 15 tourists before us made it until there within the last 10 years and only one of them came for fishing.
We fished some pristine waters that barely have seen any lures before us and yes, we got some nice fish too! It wasn't always easy fishing but we ran into some crazy action and I can gladly announce that we got a lot of that on film too.😁

So dont go anywhere, a lot of good stuff is coming soon!🔥 (as soon as we get back to Bogota because here it takes me like an hour to upload one picture😅)
Plus I still got a lot of stuff to share from the two weeks before too.☝🏽

Muchas Gracias to @fishcolombia for the opportunity to be part of this crazy experience and once again organizing me THE fishing trip of the season!

And a huge thank you to @dziubiebolubie already for all the crazy good pictures and footage he took in the last couple of days! I've only seen a small part of it so far but what I saw looks freakin crazy!
This was his first time in the jungle, he never complained, kept filming even in pouring rain and always stayed motivated. Big respect!👊🏽 Don't worry, he got to fish too and on some days even caught ghe bigger fish than I did!🖕🏽😛

Colombia rocks!🇨🇴🌴

Hybrid? New Species? Giant Butterfly/Mariposa - Peacock? - I have no idea but definitely one of the coolest Peacocks I've ever caught! When first hooked it felt like a smaller fish which turned into a big fighter and finally pushed the scale to 18lbs!
A fish to remember!🔥

And with this I am back from my second and probably last Peacock adventure for this season.✌🏽
Another week deep in the Colombian jungle well spent.🌴🇨🇴
Very interesting fishing when also frustrating at times. Until the last day, all my bigger fish got off. I had several really nice fish hooked with at least one over 20lbs but they all somehow got rid off my lures, I wanted to cry at times.😅
So for the last day my goal was clear, to catch at least one +15lbs fish which other anglers did almost daily on this trip (even on the exact same lures as I was using).
I honestly was a bit pissed, not that everyone else caught some great fish but that it seemed like I somehow wasnt able to land much bigger than the 10-12lbers I caught daily, so much that I even started questioning my general life choices.😅😂
Well, Im not sure if thats still puberty or already mid life crisis but the important thing is that I went out the last day again, didnt catch much for a couple hours again, felt the disappointment slowly crawling over me then, out of a sudden I hooked this beauty, landed it and with that my day was already made before lunch.😁

The fishing on that trip might have been difficult for me personally but the whole organization was great and improved drastically compared to last year! Cool group too which made for lots of funny chats and a nice time in general!
Big thanks once again to @fishcolombia for
making it happen!👌🏽
I hope to be back soon!

Thanks to @daniel.fishingzh for the 📸🙏🏽

Chatterbait Perch🔥

I've spent some time looking for the perfect chatterbait trailer and by know I would say there's not THE one but there's definitely some that work pretty well in certain situations.
The @baitbreath_official Fishtail Ringer isn't the ultimate trailer but it sure works well! The 3.5" version goes nicely with the @noike_japan Original Kaishin for example.👌

You can find the FishTails and many other BaitBreath baits @fishingzone_official

Lookin forward to my next chatterbait perch!

The new cold finger season is here!🍂🥶

A week ago I was sweating in italy, trying to catch some bass and this morning I was shivering as I hopped into my bibs for the first time in months.
The plan was to catch a big swiss pike, which worked, just not for me.😂
At least got a couple bites but none wanted to fully commit so here's a nice perch from last season when it was cold as well.😅

I don't really like being cold (who does?!) but whatever it sure fires up the big ones (hopefully) so yeah, fall/winter season lets go!🔥

Sardinia 2026🇮🇹

Just got back from one of the most difficult weeks of fishing in a while for me. I was hoping for a good fall bite but we got an extension of summer instead.☀️

Last time I fished on this island, my first real fishing trip, 14 years ago we came a week too late and it was freezin with fish very deep already (from what we figuered out back then).
This time the timing was off again, just in the other direction with water temperatures still too high for this time of the year imo.
Well, you might win some and the rest counts as experience or so...😅

Still, interesting 8 days on the water. Exploring different lakes, watching nice scenery and catching at least a couple of healthy looking fish. No giants for me this time but I'm convinced, that with the right conditions and at the right time the potential is definitely there!

Also the coastline there is stunning and I really hope the locals there won't let some greedy investor a-holes and dumb tourists ruin that. With that being said, pick-up and dispose of your trash properly, no matter if you're staying on a yacht or in your camper van!

Grazie mille Sardinia!

It sounds kinda stupid but now I'm so looking forward to jump in my bibs and put on a jacket to go fishing in colder weather with less people around. Just already uneasy about having cold, numb fingers😰

Quick mornin' session from shore🌈

Hoped for a big one but catching a fish on topwater in fromt of rainbow is fun too.😁

I'm all warmed up, looking forward to some full days of fishing on a boat next week! Time for some fully grown Bass I hope!🔥

Beauty from last trip.🇧🇷

Not 100% sure if it's a "true" Azul or mixed with a Pinima but one thing is for sure, catching it was sick!
As I was working the spinnerbait over plants, this guy appeared from beneath and smoked it!🔥
The whole story got even better after safely releasing this one but more of that soon...

Full video of this trip also soon on my youtube channel! Stay tuned✌️

Sunsets are a beautiful ending to any day on the water but catching fish at sunset is the ultimate ending to a day of fishing imo🌅

Have you ever seen a black Amarelo?!
These are supposed to be yellow... One of the most special catches from last trip for sure.
I also caught several with a rather greenish teint which appeared to be more common in deeper spots.

The Amarelos prefer all kinds of cover along the shoreline and seemed to be the most present species in the lake (besides the all annoying Piranhas). They don't get too big but fight pretty hard for their size. Some call them the hardest fighting Peacocks, compared pound to pound.
They are definitely fun to catch as well as just stunningly beautiful in my opinion. Not a huge fan of spinjigs myself as I think its a bit boring but the @jackall_jp Deracoup was definitely a favorite among these guys.

Those small spots on their fins I think are an awesome detail and make them even prettier.

Another species unlocked☑️

Tucunaré Amarelo or Cichla Kelberi🟨

On last weeks trip my main target was the blue Peacock Bass but that lake is home to two other Peacock species as well. One of the and the most present is the Amarelo, the yellow one.
These guys seemed to be everywhere and always good for a fun bite. They don't get too big but fight pretty hard for their size. One evening's discussion of the brazilian anglers there ended with the agreement that the yellow ones are the hardest fighting Peacocks, compared pound to pound.
They are definitely fun to catch as well as just stunningly beautiful in my opinion. Those small spots on their fins I think are an awesome detail and make them even prettier.
Another interesting thing, I think, about these guys are the different colorations, I caught them from the "typical" yellow, like this one, through various shades of green and even an almost black one (will show sometimes later).

Another species unlocked☑️
