I’m excited to be named the first Non-Resident Journalist for Women, Peace and Security at the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS).

For nearly a decade, my reporting has taken me into the lives of women and girls in places where peace and security are fragile. I’m looking forward to building on that work over the coming year, developing a deeper body of independent journalism on women’s lives, rights and freedoms, while contributing to the Institute’s leading work and research.

I’m very grateful to Ambassador Melanne Verveer, Carla Koppell and the fantastic GIWPS team for creating this opportunity, and for their leadership and commitment to women and girls around the world!
