📍 Lecture title: Acceleration: Do We Really Know How to Train It?
This lecture will be delivered in Polish.
Piotr brings more than three decades of experience teaching movement. His path began as one of the pioneers of European snowboarding and has since spanned football, handball, athletics and climbing, with speed as the common thread.
He combines his responsibilities at the Polish Athletics Association (PZLA) with the development of MARUSZEWSKI.TEAM, the professional sprint group he founded. His coaching experience includes European and World Championship finals and Olympic medal success.
A practitioner committed to continuous learning, Piotr draws on both victories and setbacks in his search for better ways to develop his athletes’ speed. He brings that experience to a fundamental question about acceleration and how we train it. During the presentation, Piotr will aim to give participants an overview of his training system as a whole and the principles behind his coaching approach.
His contribution reflects the direction of NGPC2027: learning from practitioners whose methods are shaped by daily coaching and the demands of high-performance sport.
Following two sold-out editions, the largest sport performance event in Central and Eastern Europe returns to Kraków, bringing together Sports Science, Sports Medicine (including the sub-block Female Health & Performance), and Strength & Conditioning.
