👉🏻 Meet @lancebrooks_phd, Assistant Professor of Exercise Physiology at Bridgewater State University and our next NGPC2027 speaker 🇺🇸. 📍 Lecture title: Biomechanics in Practice: Separating Signal from Noise in the Age of AI Lance is also the founder of @brooksperformancemethods. His research sits at the intersection of muscle physiology and whole-body biomechanics, with a focus on understanding how force, motion and metabolism relate across levels of biological organisation. From the mechanics of muscle function to the movement patterns that emerge at the whole-body level, he seeks to understand how what happens at the muscle translates into how humans move. Much of his academic and applied work has centred on elite sprinters, where the demands of the sport make these questions both tractable and consequential. Through his consulting practice, Lance brings that same mechanistic lens to applied performance environments, challenging practitioners to think critically about movement, training interventions and the methods used to evaluate them. Joining our Sports Science block, Lance will address the challenge of separating meaningful biomechanical insights from noise in the age of AI. His contribution reflects the direction of NGPC2027: learning from practitioners who connect scientific research with the demands of high-performance sport, translating evidence into decisions that shape athlete development. Following two sold-out editions, the largest sport performance event in Central and Eastern Europe returns to Kraków, bringing together Sports Science, Sports Medicine (including the sub-block Female Health & Performance), and Strength & Conditioning. 🚩 30–31 January 2027 | @ckf_13, Kraków Pre- and post-conference workshops: 29 January & 1 February Title sponsors: @hawkindynamics & @altis 🔗 Explore the line-up and secure your place: www.ngpconference.com #sportsscience #sprinting #strengthandconditioning #conference #kraków by @nextgeneration_performance
👉🏻 Our Next Generation Performance International Conference 2027 speaker spotlight series continues with @maruszewski, Head Coach of the Polish Men’s National Sprint Team 🇵🇱. 📍 Lecture title: Acceleration: Do We Really Know How to Train It? This lecture will be delivered in Polish. Piotr brings more than three decades of experience teaching movement. His path began as one of the pioneers of European snowboarding and has since spanned football, handball, athletics and climbing, with speed as the common thread. He combines his responsibilities at the Polish Athletics Association (PZLA) with the development of MARUSZEWSKI.TEAM, the professional sprint group he founded. His coaching experience includes European and World Championship finals and Olympic medal success. A practitioner committed to continuous learning, Piotr draws on both victories and setbacks in his search for better ways to develop his athletes’ speed. He brings that experience to a fundamental question about acceleration and how we train it. During the presentation, Piotr will aim to give participants an overview of his training system as a whole and the principles behind his coaching approach. His contribution reflects the direction of NGPC2027: learning from practitioners whose methods are shaped by daily coaching and the demands of high-performance sport. Following two sold-out editions, the largest sport performance event in Central and Eastern Europe returns to Kraków, bringing together Sports Science, Sports Medicine (including the sub-block Female Health & Performance), and Strength & Conditioning. 🚩 30–31 January 2027 | @ckf_13, Kraków Pre- and post-conference workshops: 29 January & 1 February Title sponsors: @altis & @hawkindynamics 🔗 Explore the line-up and secure your place: www.ngpconference.com #sprint #trackandfield #athletics #conference #education by @nextgeneration_performance

THE TEAM BEHIND PERFORMANCE Get to know @nextgeneration_performance: our people, our mission, and the direction we are taking. Through our work in the private sector, we want to help shape how training and sports medicine are practised. That means asking better questions, contributing to research, and upholding professional and ethical standards in our work with athletes and patients. Our conference is an extension of that mission. With NGPC2027, we have created an exceptional format for practitioners across sport to exchange knowledge and experience. A place to examine evidence, discuss the challenges we face in daily practice, and learn from people whose perspectives can strengthen our own. 🚩 Next Generation Performance International Conference takes place on 30-31 January 2027 at @ckf_13, Kraków, Poland. Title sponsors: @altis & @hawkindynamics. Join us in January. And if you would like to put your skills and curiosity to work in applied research, get in touch with our Sports Science Department. We welcome conversations with practitioners and researchers who want to contribute.
