So people know the truth about John Grogan and Colm of @fightingwordsireland They don’t care about sexual violence victims and are happy to racially victimise the only Black woman in @weconsentirl Culture Night project. They unnecessarily censored me talking about my experience and then couldn’t even muster up an apology in a day, AFTER making this matter a month long investigation, because John and Colm are cowards who want to live in their white comfort instead of doing what’s right

Raleigh, this is not a drill (!!). 🚨 Sadlack's Heroes is coming BACK. Thirteen years after closing its doors, one of Raleigh's most legendary watering holes is getting a second life—just down the street from the OG Hillsborough Street haunt that generations of locals called home.⁠ ⁠ For the uninitiated, Sadlack's wasn't just a cash-only sandwich shop or a dive bar across from NC State's Bell Tower. It was a gloriously gritty piece of Raleigh history. A place where cold beers, killer sandwiches and live music collided—and where everyone from punk rockers to professors found their people. Its back patio helped shape Raleigh's music scene, hosting the likes of Whiskeytown and countless local acts.⁠ ⁠ When Sadlack's shuttered on New Year's Eve 2013 to make way for the Aloft hotel, Raleigh lost more than a bar. It lost a little piece of its soul. Now, 13 years later, the legend is getting another chapter.⁠ ⁠ Local Henry Goodell tells Raleigh Magazine he's spearheading the revival at 913 W. Morgan St., two doors down from Wolfe & Porter.
