Shot loads with the Pedersoli Kodiak Survivalist
This little double has always struck me as a “game getter” type of gun. Very handy to have around and capable of taking all manner of game. Be it big hogs with full power magnum loads, rabbits for the table with light .44 Special level loads, and home rolled shot loads for pests and small game at short ranges.
With a wide variety of loads available to the handloader and non handloader alike, the little .44 double is quite capable!

I would really like to know how it regulates at 50 with an assortment of factory and hand loaded ammo in various weights and velocity. From 185 gr wadcutter .44 spl to 320 gr 44 rem mag +p

Try making some longer cases. I forget what I used to use. 303 British maybe?

You might try a .410 shot up cut down, with a roundball crimped into the mouth. If you need a little more range or a larger critter, just aim dead on for the roundball, and for up close and easier to take critters, you aim just off so the roundball just misses but the shot charge doesn't.

@stateline_shootist Try some of that double-tap snake shot. It’s got 100 gr. Wad cutter plus number nine shot throughout pretty awesome. I Carry it my 69 combat magnum snub
