قالت عضو مجلس الشورى د. فاطمة الكوهجي إنها تتفق مع رأي اللجنة بشأن رفض إضافة مادة جديدة برقم (19 مكرراً) إلى قانون المرور الصادر بالقانون رقم (23) لسنة 2014، مؤكدة في الوقت ذاته ضرورة عدم الاكتفاء برفض المقترح دون البحث عن حلول لمشكلة الازدحام المروري التي تواجهها مملكة البحرين.
وأشارت إلى أن المسافة التي كان يستغرق قطعها نحو 20 دقيقة أصبحت تستغرق أكثر من ساعة، ما يستدعي وضع حلول عملية تشمل جميع مستخدمي السيارات، مع مراعاة حق الجميع في التنقل المكفول دستورياً.
ودعت إلى الاستفادة من تجارب الدول الأخرى، ومنها ألمانيا التي اتبعت تنظيمات تحدد أياماً معينة لاستخدام السيارات في الشوارع، بما يسهم في تقليل أعداد المركبات والحد من الازدحام، خصوصاً في ظل توجه أكثر من سيارة من الأسرة الواحدة إلى الوجهة ذاتها.
وشددت الكوهجي على أهمية إيجاد حلول واقعية تتناسب مع عدد السيارات في البحرين ومحدودية مساحتها، بما يحقق معالجة عملية للازدحام المروري ويراعي حقوق الجميع وأحكام الدستور.

Friends, seeing God’s Word light up Times Square in New York City is not lost on me. 📖❤️‍🔥

In a city that never stops selling, scrolling, or shouting for our attention, God’s Word rose above it all. It is alive and active, and it still changes lives.

That’s why I love that Global Bible Month launched in Times Square last night. I’m so grateful for our friends at @youversion , who are putting Scripture in the hands of people all over the world every single day. This is how we reach the modern world with the Gospel.

Because behind every verse opened is a person. Someone who may hear the good news of Jesus for the first time. Someone who may respond. Someone who may be changed and sent to live on mission for Jesus Christ in their sphere of life.

“The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” (Isaiah 40:8)

As this year comes to a close, I’m praying we would be a people who take the Gospel further, faster. Open your Bible today, and pass God’s Word on to a lost and hurting world, in Jesus’ name. 🙏
