What Trust means to him: “Trust is about believing in someone without having to double-check everything. Sometimes, it’s the little things in our daily lives that show how much we trust each other.”

How he conveyed his message: “I wanted to showcase trust through something relatable to Malaysians, Mamak culture. In the past, we would simply tell the abang what we ordered and trust each other during payment. It’s a fun way to show how trust exists in our everyday lives, even in small moments.”

Favorite shot: “The one where I was eating at the Mamak stall. As an introvert, filming myself alone in public was quite challenging, so it was a small personal breakthrough for me, even though it’s just a simple shot.”

His creative process: “I wanted the video to feel natural and relatable while keeping the filming simple, so I wouldn’t feel discouraged by complicated filming. Due to limited time, I focused more on scripting and storytelling, using simple shots, illustrations, online images, and voiceover to bring the story to life.”

What he learned from the challenge: “Taking action is really important. I almost gave up due to limited time and worries about video quality, but decided to give it a try instead of overthinking. Everyday moments can become interesting content when viewed from a different perspective.”

Advice for future creators: “Don’t overthink it. You don’t necessarily need complicated filming to create good content. I use simple B-roll footage, illustrations, voiceovers, and online images to tell my stories, finding a style that works for you can make content creation more enjoyable and help you stay consistent.”
