Some encounters are more than just a moment — they represent history, identity, and the hope of a nation.

An honor to meet princess Noor Pahlavi. The Noor of Iran, for a free Iran. It’s close to the time when Iran stands free, proud, and the glory comes back to Iran once again. 🦁☀️ @noorzpahlavi

I used to think peace was something I’d arrive at later.

When the next deal closed. After the next goal. After I’d proven enough, built enough, become enough. I was always running towards a version of life where I’d finally get to slow down.

This Fall, standing barefoot on a cold dock with leaves turning around me, I realized something. The trees don’t wait until they’re finished to let go. They release right in the middle of the season, a little at a time, and they’re still beautiful while doing it.

I’m done waiting. I stood on one leg and found my balance. I reached higher than felt comfortable. I knelt by the water and breathed. And somewhere between shakiness and laughter, I felt it. I wasn’t on my way to peace anymore. I’ve become it.

Strong enough to hold my ground. Soft enough to let life move through me. Both at the same time. That’s the practice.

I’m grateful for every season that got me here. Especially the hard ones. They taught me how to be still.

If you’ve been waiting for permission to slow down, this is it.

What are you ready to let go of this season? 👇🏼

The world’s biggest rock star was a Zoroastrian refugee, twice over. His family fled Zanzibar in 1964, and a thousand years earlier his ancestors fled Khorasan, a land that today sits across Iran, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
