Getting booked once is one thing. Getting called back is another.
You might have exactly the look a client is searching for, and that can get you booked for a production. But if you're difficult to work with, don't communicate, or show up unprepared, there's a good chance you won't get that second call.
We've worked with a lot of models and actors over the years, and here are a few things that really matter to production companies:
1. Put your location in your bio. We need to know where you're based.
2. Send your audition tapes when you say you will. If you can't do it, just communicate.
3. Show up on time. Production schedules are tight, and being late affects everyone.
4. Bring wardrobe options and essentials. Come ready for different looks.
5. Keep your photos and videos updated. Your portfolio should reflect how you currently look.
6. Read your scripts ahead of time. You don't have to memorize every word, but come prepared.
At the end of the day, talent might get you booked, but being reliable, professional, and easy to work with is what gets you booked again.
