I had the best day on the best day to be in the best city in the world. Can’t imagine a more meaningful way to mark my new relationship with running than to serve as run support for former Army Master Sergeant @cedrickingmsg — a purple-hearted double above-the-knee amputee due to stepping on an IED. A victory for me to just make it to the start, crossing the finish with Cedric was a peak never-will-I-forget life experience. Rewinding back a year and half, my spine surgeon said I should forget about running. Forget that, I thought. So, I baked up a plan and began plotting my way in. For the first seven months of my spinal fusion recovery, only slow walking. I began PT on month 8, with light strength training starting a few weeks after that. Since then, I’ve been in my home gym by the four o’clock hour, every single day aside from a handful of exceptions. To celebrate 1 year post-op, I ran my first mile, a slow one with @dan_churchill. From there, I patiently pursued a six-month relationship with my treadmill, careful to never push with a first-for-me less-is-best philosophy. As a consequence of caution, I can’t say I was exactly ready for the NYC marathon, as my run training consisted of two weekly 5-mile run-walks. Nevertheless, I decided to give it a go. And I’m delighted I did. The spine did fine. And despite my lack of aerobic conditioning, my body held up long enough to cross the finish line. Striding alongside Cedric is the how. Taking my strength from his kept me connected to my higher power. The why. While running again was my goal, Cedric confirmed that my purpose is service. Now 60 and now on the other side of my season of forced repose, I have greater clarity on what matters. Not so much about ego gratification anymore, what wakes me up is more giving of myself to other people. If you want a big and beautiful life, make it about something much larger than yourself. Thx @achilles_international for your incredible work. @joechura for recruiting me into this adventure & @cedrickingmsg for your strength, and infectious inspiration. And thank you NYC. You remain undefeated. You leave me hopeful. See you next year. ❤️ -r Still 📸 @rgosp

Big Tech companies have lost almost $900bn in market value, turning some of the most profitable businesses in history into cash incinerators as they stake their futures on AI. Shares in the big four 'hyperscalers' — Amazon, Meta, Microsoft and Google parent Alphabet — all fell after revealing their third-quarter results, in which capital expenditures almost doubled and alarm bells sounded about slowing revenue growth in core businesses. Swipe or tap the link in our bio for more. Photo credits: Getty Images. MICHIGAN FRIENDS PLS VOTE FOR @abdulelsayed, THE CANDIDATE WHO HAS YOUR INTERESTS AT HEART! I could go on and on about this tbh. I have never talked about this publicly and I’m not sure she knows I have a platform. But if you anything about my story you know I moved to Detroit after college… this is why! I would like to say I stopped working in politics after working for Haley… partially because working for her was so intense and crazy. I haven’t spoken to her since 2018. I do not know her now, and just bc I worked for her when I was 22 does not mean i agree with anything she’s done in public office. I stopped working for her before she got elected!
