😀 Wow! I got nominated for the second time for The Future Awards Africa Prize for Health and Wellness 2026! 🎉🥹
Exactly four years ago, I was nominated for and won this same category. To be recognised once again for the work I care so deeply about is truly humbling ❤️And what a journey these four years have been!
Since winning in 2022, I have continued to advance public health through research, social innovation, and evidence-based interventions. I have reached 3,500 children through the WASHED-UP in Schools Trial and contributed to
@tnci_africa policy advocacy for integrating WASH education into school curricula. I also launched
@obrin_health to advance women's health and well-being using digital technology and AI support and founded AquaEd Solutions to empower communities with Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene knowledge, training and services to lead healthier lives.
Currently, I am leading a groundbreaking national evaluation of gender inclusion in digital health campaigns benefiting over 5,000 women and adolescent girls across 12 Nigerian states and the Chat to Choice Uptake Pilot, aiming to reach 3,000 users with sexual and reproductive health information and family planning support.
But beyond the impact numbers, these four years have been about turning evidence into action, translating research into policy, building innovative solutions, and championing health equity in underserved communities 💪🏿
I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey and continues to believe in me ❤️Thank you so much,
@thefutureawardsafrica, and
@tfaafrica for this recognition, and congratulations to all the incredible nominees!
The work continues! 💪🏿🔥
