How energy efficiency upgrades are transforming homes and lives for residents across the country

✅ Crysania, a Colchester Borough Homes tenant, has seen her energy bills reduce by ~80 per cent following the upgrade and removal of faulty electric storage heaters. Crysania had her windows and doors upgraded and now heats her home with an air source heat pump.
✅ Langley-based Jean, a Slough Borough Council resident, has noticed a substantial difference to the comfort of her home, calling solid wall insulation a "warm cuddly blanket wrapped around my house". Jean had cavity wall insulation, solar panels and battery storage installed.
✅ Mary, a North West Leicestershire District Council resident, had insulation and solar panels and loft insulation installed to keep her home warm and bring down energy bills. She says she feels "privileged" and "lucky".
All three organisations funded upgrades for Crysania, Jean and Mary through the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund Wave 2.
