A couple weeks ago, I was blessed to gather and nurture Black women for a weekend at a women’s retreat and I’m still carrying it with me.

I came to pour into every woman in that room, to offer care, softness, and a place to breathe. What I didn’t expect was how much the room would pour back into me.

As a mom, an entrepreneur, and a woman who gives constantly, I don’t always get to be on the receiving end. Being surrounded by women who laughed, rested, and showed up honestly reminded me that giving and receiving aren’t opposites. We were all filling each other’s cups.
