Assembly of Crimean Organisations (ACO)

Crimean political prisoner Lenur Khalilov, 58, is in critical condition in a prison hospital in Russia’s Arkhangelsk region. He has liver cancer with metastases, chronic hepatitis C and other serious illnesses. He reportedly suffers from severe pain and can barely move independently.

Released on medical grounds in 2025, he was subsequently returned to prison. Despite his deteriorating condition, he remains in Russian custody without adequate specialised medical care.

Lenur Khalilov urgently needs proper treatment and release to be reunited with his family. Do not let him die in prison.
